Set Up A Tiki Bar That Will Remind Patrons Of A Tropical Location
If you are setting up a tiki bar outside of the restaurant that you own and would like to create an area that will remind your patrons of being at a tropical location while they are sipping cocktails, the tips below will bring your tiki bar to life and will help promote the outdoor venue so that people are inclined to visit it.
You Will Need:
- wooden wall panels
- photographs
- large format adhesive banners
- wooden bar
- stools
- string lights
- tables
- chairs
- neon sign
- local bands
- disc jockeys
- leis
Wooden Wall Panels And Large Format Adhesive Banners
Purchase moveable wall panels and place them around the perimeter of the patio or deck that the tiki bar is being added to. Visit a large format printing company and provide the designer who is assisting you with photographs of a tropical setting and the measurements of the wooden panels. Request that large format adhesive banners that have a vinyl surface are designed that have the picture of the tropical setting on the front side of it.
After your banners are printed, clean the interior side of each wall panel and remove the back pieces from the banners before pressing the sicky side of each banner against one of the panels. As you apply the banners, take your time to line them up and press them against the wood in a firm manner so that the pictures lay flat.
Furnishings, Lights, And A Neon Menu
Set a wooden bar and stools on one side of the patio or deck and tables and chairs on the opposite side. Secure string lights to the front of the bar and across the top of each wooden panel so that the outdoor area will have an intimate and alluring appearance. Purchase a neon sign that you can write on and list menu items on it. Prop the neon sign against one corner of the bar so that patrons will see it when they first approach you or a bartender to order a cocktail.
Rotating Bands And Disc Jockeys
Hire local bands and disc jockeys and create a rotating schedule for them so that fresh faces and music will be available to your patrons on a routine basis. Request that the bands and disc jockeys play music that one may hear in a tropical location. Soothing songs about ocean waves or surfing are some selections to consider using during times that the tiki bar is open. On the grand night of the tiki bar's opening, hand leis to your customers and ask them to wear them around their necks to assist with feeling festive during their time spent at the tiki bar.
